Fastest Malaysian Mobile Broadband Is Maxis

A research by Mobile World concludes that Maxis is Malaysia's fastest mobile broadband provider beating its other two rivals, Celcom and Digi.  As a matter of fact, Digi came in second best, and Celcom proved they provided the slowest speeds available.  As indicated by the stats provided, Maxis championed practically every area where it was tested, and cam up ahead of the other two telcos when it came to site loading.  The report also noted that DiGi outclassed Maxis in the KLCC area and this came to a surprise, even to myself as KLCC also houses Maxis's headquaters.

The test is done by comparing each mobile broadband providers based on the time to download a particular video, time needed to fully load a few popular websites such as Facebook, Friendster, The Star and Air Asia.  The test gadget is the Blackberry as Mobile World re0irritates that all telcos support the device.

The result would benefit urban KL mobile broadband users as test were conducted around KL.  However, other locations, primarily in rural and in the East of Malaysia will have to do their own speed test as mobile broadband penetration and service in these two areas remain unstable, and small.
