Review: Sony Ericsson Xperia X10

The Xperia X10 seems to be Sony Ericsson's answer to Apple's growing number of iPhone users.  It boast of touch screen capabilities, Turbo 3G ability and GPRS.  Among the features highlighted are it's extended battery life and also it's beyond average camera.  Apart from that, the phone includes an internal memory of 1GB, with an option to add in a maximum 16GB memory.

The Xperia X10 comes in two colours, which is sensuous black and luster white, while it boast of the basic Sony Ericssons software package such as the ability to play music in multiple formats including mp3, a complete organizer, messaging capabilities, wireless connectivity and a qwerty screen keypad.  The phone also includes easy to use Facebook application, and speakers and vibration alert.

VERDICT:
The phone itself looks amazingly sleek and beautiful, which is what I'd expect from Sony Ericssons.  With an extended battery power life span, and the 8.1mpx camera which is equip with auto focus, 16x digital zoom, face recognition and smile detection, the Xperia X10 will definitely give the Apple iPhone a good run for its money.  Nonetheless, I feel that lack of proper applications will damper this phone from moving further as the iPhone boast of thousands of applications for practically anything.
